Twenty Eight Feet: life on a little wooden boat from kevinAfraser on Vimeo . A beautiful short documentary about David Welsford, who has given up the luxuries of land in search for happiness and adventure on a 50 year old wooden boat he restored from a scrap heap.

Hillman Curtis: remembered

It has been fifteen years since I first read his book, and a year after his passing, but I still find inspiration in the work of Hillman Curtis. Hillman's pioneering work in Flash, was always a touchstone for me in my early career, and I still reference his books today, even though I rarely work in the medium. His books and his legacy will always be remembered. Hillman was a strong advocate of re-inventing ones self, and in his own career(s), he moved from playing music to graphic design to web design to flash and motion design and finally to filmmaking. I hope you find inspiration in his work as I do:
