Hillman Curtis: remembered

It has been fifteen years since I first read his book, and a year after his passing, but I still find inspiration in the work of Hillman Curtis. Hillman's pioneering work in Flash, was always a touchstone for me in my early career, and I still reference his books today, even though I rarely work in the medium. His books and his legacy will always be remembered. Hillman was a strong advocate of re-inventing ones self, and in his own career(s), he moved from playing music to graphic design to web design to flash and motion design and finally to filmmaking. I hope you find inspiration in his work as I do:

Ultimately, when the digital and physical worlds become one, humans along with technology are potentially on the path to becoming a "super organism" capable of influencing and enabling a broad spectrum of new behaviors in the world.

The Cool and Creepy Museum of Me

Intel combines Facebook, Vanity and mood music to produce one of the best interactive online Ads I’ve seen this year. Using Facebook Open Graph to pull your data into a Flash movie that creates a Virtual Museum Tour of your online presence: It is both very cool and very creepy how much Facebook data is open to   3 rd party developers with a couple clicks of the mouse. Check it out here: http://www.intel.com/museumofme/r/index.htm
